PRIEST RIVER, Idaho (AP) - A northern Idaho man who police say lost his footing and was swept away by swift currents in the Priest River on Friday is missing and presumed drowned.
Donald Robert Maskell, 43, of Spirit Lake has not been seen since falling into the river.
Bonner County Sheriff's Lt. Ror Lakewold says search and rescue crews used boats, divers and aircraft but called off the search Saturday evening.
Lakewold says the river is murky and running high and fast.
He says the search could resume when the water goes down.
