MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) - Two more volunteer firefighters in the tiny south-central Idaho town of Oakley have been awarded the Idaho Medal of Honor.
Dave Roundy and Dave Korom received the awards Friday during a ceremony in Meridian.
Roundy and Korom in January pulled 20-year-old Tenessa Papp from a burning pickup before it was engulfed in flames. Papp sustained only minor injuries.
That boosts the number of award recipients on the firefighting force to four. The award recognizes those who risk their own safety to help others.
In 2006, Oakley volunteer firefighters Troy Greenwell and Joe Stringham received the award. In 1995 the two firefighters entered a burning home to pull an unconscious man to safety, saving his life.
